1.1 Scope
The HAZOP study intent was to review only those facilities excluded from the previous HAZOP, as well as to re-HAZOP all changes to systems, resulting from implementation of the previous HAZOP recommendations. Relevant vendor packages were included in the current HAZOP.

1.1 Process Description
The planned acrylic acid (ACA) & D40 solvent storage tank farm are used as a feed system of the LDP unit, which produces LDP for 7400 ton per year. The raw materials (ACA or/and D40) will be transported to the tank farm by tank truck, and then be pumped into the storage tank. Totally two independent sections are involved in this project, one is the ACA unloading and storage system, and the other is D40 unloading and storage system.
ACA UNLOADING AND STORAGE SECTION
The acrylic acid is a kind of assistant raw material for manufacturing the LDP. The wastage of the acrylic acid is 1000 ton per year. Before the storage tank is installed and taken into use, the acrylic acid is barrelled and transported by trucks. The volume of a barrel is 200L. The current process is that directly pump the acrylic acid into the reactor of LDP from the barrels, which takes more manpower and is more dangerous and harmful to the operators.
